Renewing Insurance and Road Tax the easy, fast and cost-saving way

Hi Folks!

As road tax is expiring soon, i was checking out some options to renew my road tax.

Since i still have some time, i went around checking out how people are renewing their road tax nowadays.

Many still use the older method by going through the bank, their insurance agent, or their own runner or even do it themselves at the physical shop and later on at the post office for their road tax.

I recalled having seeing a 10% rebate for renewing insurance online, thus I gave it a try. Really superb i must say..fast, easy, convenient and save money too (10% rebate).

I just followed the steps, filling up the form at Motortakaful. The system will check for you your NCD, your current market value for your car, etc. All you need to have at hand is:

1) Copy of Motor Cover Policy from previous Insurance/Takaful Institution or
2) Copy of Cover Note from previous Insurance/Takaful Institution or
3) Copy of Vehicle registration card

And you can pay via:
1) Credit Card (VISA or MASTERCARD)
2) FPX Internet Banking
3) Maybank2u.com

Super fast. After I have fill up the necessary details and submit my payment online, I will be able to print my e-cover note and the system will also provide me a link to myeg to renew my road tax. Once done, i get the confirmation that my transaction is successful and for payment and transaction conducted before 1pm, we can get the road tax on the same day (T&C applies)..wow..but i did it after 1pm, but fine, i still get my road tax pretty fast, the next day around 11.30am I received my road tax. Very efficient I would say. We even get to check or track the delivery from this site just like those parcel delivery.

Is your road tax expiring soon, why not give this a try..it will only take you 10 minutes i would say for the whole process.

Will try for my DH's car next round :)

Glad to found a very efficient service in Malaysia which improving i would say! Thumbs-up for them!

Cheers to a good weekend folks!

Updates on the 3 little angels

Hi folks!

It's been a long time since I post up any updates on my 3 little angels bestowed by the Creator.

Let's start from the youngest, a.k.a. the Mr. DIY.

ZS
As the age of 2, i would think he's now in the mode of Mr. DIY. He would want to try everything and does everything on his own.
If you ever helped him up over the staircase and slope, etc, he would walk back down and do it by his own.

Everything he wants to do it on his own, i.e. eating, drying himself after a DIY shower/bath, putting on his own clothes, etc. And the fact that
he only turns into what people called the  "Terrible Two" only when he is being denied the freedom and trust to do things on his OWN!
So, I get it and thus only offered him help when he requested and needs one. And this actually helps a lot in both ways. He gets to explore his abilities to do things on his own and
for us, we avoided the meltdown and even get to eat along together rather than taking turns to feed him and eat our meals, etc.

So all in all, we learnt to let him explore "safely".

SE
At the age of 7, he seems to be in the world of routine, discipline and a bit up to mischievous at times and also demands fairness.
He still has not figure out time very well, thus when you tell him to do something at certain time, we need to do it by sequence of
his routine rather than using the clock. For e.g., you need to finish up your breakfast and quickly change into your swimming attire
so that you get to play in the pool before your swimming coach arrives(which is what he adores doing weekly).

He has overcame his fear of water and has been able to swim a full lap which is something I can see him truly enjoyed which also
boost up his confidence in himself. Not giving up after few months like his drum lessons, he persevered in his weekly swimming lessons.

Overall, I felt he is slowly beginning to grow up with his own character and with a very caring heart.

KY
At the age of 9, she's growing up to be a very dependable, considerate and sporting young lady. She is one who i could count on
to take care of her little brother while i do some cooking, etc...willingly and with lots of love and care (and fun too! ZS adores her).

She is very much into ballet, dancing, make-up, hairstyling and also High School Musical cum singing. She's always full of music and always
have a dance routine in her mind. We see that in her when she started shaking her bum bum at 11 months old even before she learned how to walk.

I am very proud of her and really admire her fun-loving and carefree spirit. I hope she continues with her good-loving nature and kind heart.

This is all the short updates on the three little angels/gifts in our family.

Cheers!

We are all here on borrowed time

Hi folks!

Last night we went to pay respect to the demise of an elderly one in my family.

I had this realization that we are all here on a "borrowed" times. When we will be called back by the Creator is indefinite. But one thing for sure we won't be here forever.

Reflection on Appreciation and Repentance

Hi folks!

Yesterday, I dated my two older kids for a movie at the cinema. It was a very nice movie and nice date indeed!

I've learnt a lot of things in the movie and also throughout our dates.

We went to Nu Sentral GSC to watch the movie by LRT. I have wanted to let the kids experience taking LRT.

They learnt to use the self-service ticketing machine as well as how to read the instruction on which platform to get to their station.

It was quite crowded when we get back from the movie and there wasn't any seats.

However, there are two gentlemen who gave their seats to my two kids aged 7 & 9. It was a very heart-warming experience for me.

And I told them when they are older and able to balance themselves better, they should also learn to give their seats to others who needs the seats more as I point out to the signs
to give seats to people with special needs, pregnant women, old age, etc.

And while sharing with them, me, as a mom learnt a precious lesson as well. As my hands are full carrying 3 bags, my daughter without hesitating a moment, offered to carry those bags on her lap as she got a seat.

And the people are her were whispering what a good daughter i had. Indeed! I've realised that i've failed to notice and appreciate these little goodness in them all these while.

Like how she gave her time to "entertain" her little baby brother instead of playing ipad, etc.
How they would often request to get something for their siblings when i was buying something for them.
How they would also asked us if it's ok to get something, or whether it is too expensive.
How my daughter mentioned to her brother one day when he didn't want to wear the daycare uniform, asking him if he's trying to make us spend our money on the uniform in vain by not wanting to wear it.

Wow..little things like this really..touches my heart..especially when i felt at times i have been a little too harsh and a little to "frank" to them about money matters.

I wanted to let them know they could achieve whatever they set their heart and mind too, with hard work. And i also do not wish them to be hindered by things like money, time etc.

And i truly repent and feel bad when I kinda throw my temper and got frustrated when my daughter keeps readjusting or requesting to re-tie her hair. Ballerina has high standards on the way their hair is being tied.

Watch the Dance Parents if you wish to know how high the standard these children set upon themselves.

While parents who do yearn to have girls so that they have the chance to doll them up, tie their hair, etc....here am I having such wonderful daughter, yet not cherishing it to the fullest.

May I learnt my lessons well and not to repeat them.

May I grow to be a better parent to my children, a better spouse and a better person overall to this earth we called home.

Cheers!

Descendants

Hi folks!

How was your weekend?

We spent our weekend at leisure pace at my in-laws’ place. For a long time, I get to accompany my kids watching some of their favourite Disney show.

Talking about Disney show, there’ll be one very good one coming called Descendants. The premieres will be aired on this Sunday 13 September at 11am on Disney Channel (Astro Ch 615).

The storyline again, as with other Disney show is very meaningful. It is a not-to-be-missed show! Very interestingly as the show title- Descendants, it is stories that revolved around the descendants of Disney character that we all very familiar with like Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, etc. So for us adults even, it’s a déjà vu of sort while watching the show definitely!

If you have ever wondered what would happen if Disney's greatest Villains and Princesses had children like me, then you would find some insignts in this show!
In the idyllic kingdom of Auradon, Prince Ben, the benevolent teenaged son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle from "Beauty and the Beast") is poised to take the throne. His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay, the trouble-making offspring of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Cruella de Vil and Jafar who have been imprisoned on the forbidden Isle of the Lost for 20 years. These villainous descendants are allowed into Auradon for the first time to attend prep school alongside the teenage progeny of Fairy Godmother, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Mulan. Only time will tell if these evil teens will follow in the footsteps of their wicked parents!

It has very good storyline and moral behind this show, which talks about goodness prevail over evil and that we have this very good part in each and every one of us if only we “LISTEN” to our hearts. In addition, the story also potrays the lesson on about teamwork, self-esteem and self-worth. And I truly felt that it’s a good very show especially for teens at their rebel stage and where most of them at this age are trying to look for their true identity at this rather confuse stage.

Directed by the Emmy Award-winning director and choreographer Kenny Ortega ("High School Musical”, so we can’t expect very much 'High School Musical' –like and great soundtracks which is something both my kids and I really adore.

And do tune in to Disney Channel (Astro Ch 615) this Sunday 13 September at 11am to catch the show! I can’t wait to view it with my kids!

Cheers!
