RIP MH17

Hi folks!

Had a shocked and wave of sadness early this morning when I read a message on my phone sharing about the Malaysia Airlines aircraft MH17 which was shot down near the airspace of Ukraine.

For more updated news, you may like to check here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-28354856

Just when the MH370 missing aircraft in March 2014 still unsettled, we have another unfortunate event with MH17.

Really need to repent and repent...if any of my own eruption of anger or temper causes any negative qi...

RIP to all the 15 crew members of MH17 as well as the 290++ passengers..sad day indeed for many Malaysians as well as family members of the passengers and crew.

Inspired by my fellow colleague who made a vow to keep a vegetarian diet for his mom's health, I would like to dedicate my most difficult challenge that is to keep tab on my temper (at kids or at road)..at all times...

May I generate more calmness and peacefulness rather than unsettling hearts and impatience from now onwards.

Have a reflectful and peaceful everyone!

No time for Breakfast or proper meal?

Hi folks!

How many of the children and adults went on their day without taking a proper breakfast?

I have to admit as my kids woke up pretty late plus the morning rush hour, it's pretty hard to upkeep a wholesome breakfast routine. It's pretty bad as all "Kids want to be Tall, Sharp, Strong!"

When I raised this to DH, he mentioned about his childhood drink, Horlicks and asked if I have tasted it before? I think I had but not a routine drink like him. He loves drinking Horlicks since young and have been asking me to scout the drink for the children too.

Thus, recently we found out that GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, a leading global FMCH company in the nutritional and OTC healthcare segments has launch Horlicks® Chocolate, a new-and-improved formulation for its classic malt beverage, Horlicks®, enriching its existing formula with a blend of micronutrients to help optimise holistic development in children.

That's great as the children loves chocolate taste and flavour anytime!

According to Professor Dr Khor Geok Lin, Professor of Nutrition from the International Medical University Malaysia (IMU), hidden hunger is unlike the hunger that comes from a lack of food. It is a chronic lack of vitamins and minerals that often has no visible warning signs, so that people who suffer from it may not even be aware of it. Its consequences are nevertheless disastrous; as hidden hunger can lead to poor mental development, poor physical health and productivity.
"Women and children from the lower income groups in developing countries are often the most affected, but local studies in Malaysia have shown that even school children in urban areas like KL and PJ have micronutrient deficiencies including that of vitamin D; which is important for the absorption of calcium. Zinc, iron and iodine deficiencies also have been observed in Malaysian children. Thus, it is important to inform mothers and educate children from young to eat right and have a balanced diet of carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and minerals," added Professor Khor.
