School in states below 300 to remain open?

I am both sadden yet half-expected the announcement to be made as such by the MOE..as their priorities are different and the fact is that our schools are not equipped with elearning faculties. Otherwise, lessons can be continued without risking the kids health by going to school at such bad haze! So below 300 is safe level? 

Jus imagine most school has got no air-cond, thus they would need to on the fan and open the door; plus many school their window is spoilt, so tell me

How to stay indoor? How to avoid inhaling the haze? How to study in such condition?

Get the MOE people to sit in the "smoky and hot" classroom for 2hrs, before making such decision can they? Is chasing school syllabuses more important than the health of our future generation?

Truly pray the haze to go away soon and our MOE and schools will learnt from this event this year itself and make drastic adoption for online learning.

Schools are off

Few places were declared school holidays(too bad there's none for working folks!)...imagine those parents who are working and no one taking care of their children who are off..

See the pictures here(yesterday and today)...big difference in visibility...gosh it's getting worse..hope the haze will be resolved soon..rain rain please come...

On my birthday..

Hi folks!

On my birthday, also one month after I have delivered, mom came with my sis in the morning and mom made me this yummy brunch. I happened to be busied with baby and housework till no time for breakfast..ah how touching and sweet gesture! And in addition to this, I had desserts- RT Pastry Black Sesame Swiss Roll from my sis..all these as my brunch on my birthday!

For Chinese, it's typical to have a bowl of vermicelli with egg on our birthday. Some people use longevity noodles.

What to do with leftover party disposable cups?

Hi folks!

I have kept the disposable cups and plates I bought for our house-warming few years back. And kids now used it as their (inexpensive) toys. Plates used for handcraft(and the other day as fan when power went off). Cups used as stakkos..Kids are creative soul! :)

What to do with leftover rice?

Hi folks!

Usually we would prepare fried rice when we have leftover rice. As I don't have time to stand over the stove to fried the rice and weather is kinda hot, I make congee/porridge instead.

I simply add whatever ingredients i wanted into the rice, add water, seasalt & seasoning; leave it to cook for 5-10mins.

Here I have leftover multi-grain rice from yesterday(which I kept in fridge promptly after it gets cold). I added mushroom, ginger slices, tomatoes, kelps, French beans, Siew pak choy(all these pre-cut and nicely-packed in Tupperware earlier). Voila...my brunch is ready while I hang my laundry. Awesome, warm and yummy comfort food for busy mom ;)
