Checkup at 28 Weeks

Hi folks!

Upon reaching each checkup time, the thing I dreaded most(besides the unavoidable long time sitting on the plastic chair) is the "drink" so called the glucose intolerance test consist of few large spoonful of sugar water(white sugar!!)....

I got tested once during my second pregnancy when my weight increased 3.2kg a month(which is just after my heavy vomitting trimester...which should be good news that I can finall ate and tolerate food..yet the moment of the yucky drink still in my memory..)

After being asked to put on more weight by the nurse last month(after putting on merely 2.9kg, safe range I would say..to avoid the "drink")..I kinda got the license to eat a lot more during Chinese New Year(lol). But having trained my tongue to not fancy fried & oily food, I literally craves for more fruits and raw vegetables like salads. However one thing I cannot resist is sweet desserts(which my mil will cook only during CNY) and not to mention all sorts of CNY cookies; almond, peanut, pineapple, oats, etc..u name it!

Voila, guess how much weight I put on this time? 2.7kg!! Much to my surprised yet feeling grateful again not to be reaching the weight to be called for glucose test ..phew...

Even though I can seemingly noticed a bigger belly and heavier feeling..yet my weight still in within safe range..blood pressie normal, blood level normal(been taking organic prune paste diligently!), was given a jab(to avoid "sawan"/fits).

From now on, will be subjected to a checkup every 2 weeks..time flies..yet I am not prepared yet...gosh procrastination big time ..nowadays the only thing I wanted to do during any rare free time is zzz..

Wait till the mood arrive I will be packing and preparing stuff quickly..today am asked to rest for I sprained my neck during checkup yesterday. Will just do some light laundry, washing dishes and perhaps light tidying up...not to carry heavy stuff..and oh yes..and doing my baby-movement counting homework :P

Seems like lotsa things to do..yet very little mood and enthusiasm yet..hohoho..perhaps a good rest will do the trick to bring it back..k fingers feeling numb now..a sign to zzz n rest., tata..

It's here....Zalora

Hi folks!

Lately I had so many chances for retail therapy ;)

Shopping for kids and baby items and then for me as well!

Didn't have much time and choices to shop before Chinese New Year..just nice that Zalora is having a RM18.88 sales last week.

Here are the collection of items which I always wanted to get(and what's more when the prices went down further than normal price). A Statement necklace, blink-blink sandal(it's good to have easy to slip-on shoes for mommy of three later) with leopard print on the side, 3 pairs of earrings, a belt and a wrist pouch(again..a good one to have to free my hands to carry or hold other stuff!).

Coincidently, all items are in my favourite orange color! So is Zalora signature box.."It's here...Zalora! in Orange! Lol..

Now I totally understood why people said retail therapy works! All these items for only RM18.88 each.

Zalora (http://www.zalora.com.my/) always has these awesome deals. If you need some affordable retail therapy  too do give the site a check. Oh ya, they provide RM20 voucher for first time buyer! ;)

Cheers :) happy shopping!

Weekends...Monday and another article published..

Hi folks!

How was your weekend? I had a fully-packed yet fulfilling weekend!

For once, I managed to ticked all the task list I planned to do :) and learning to keep my pace too...despite the tight schedule...and enjoying each task....

I went to MyDear Warehouse sales to check out some baby stuff..wow..i can only say..the baby bath tub i am planning to get is so costly! Would you pay RM76 for a baby bath tub? That is out of my budget...so will try and check out other places...

Some of the things I am yet to get are:
  1. Baby carrier (essential for a mom of 3, so that I could free my hands to hold the hands of the other two kids)
  2. Car Seat
  3. Baby Bath tub
  4. Stroller (maybe later...as DH is not a big fan of stroller but preferred a good baby carrier)
Last weekend, I also managed to stop by briefly at Tesco, Giant, and Jusco and all 3 of them are having Baby Fair..wow..coincidentally ...good time for me to check out the prices of baby stuff (as ahem, I am certainly outdated about baby items and prices after my youngest son is already 4+ years old!).

Managed to get some essential items like washable nursing pad, 4 pieces of baby clothing(can't resist and also for just-in-case I didn't manage to get many hands-me-down, mittens, boots)...and yea a thermos bottle for both DH and KY as they are suffering from cough and drinking warm water is better for them.

Considered mission accomplished..to add on to it, i managed to have a buddy date last evening and even met up with my aunt on Sat. evening before she goes back to Australia...another two big yeysss...for me!

Thus, I should be thankful and grateful for a fulfilling weekend and do my Best to look forward to Monday...the often-most jam-packed working start day.

During the weekend, I kinda have a BIG shopping urge..and deeply feeling great about it..must be the after-effect of retail therapy ..haha..bought few favourite fruits for my kids; strawberries, kiwis, and my favourite plums (sorry for the blurred picture.in a hurry to snap and eat it :P)..i have a weakness for fresh fruits and vegetables..especially at a great bargain price..i think I must have spent like RM40 for fruits alone :P

I hope the strawberries I packed for KY will bring smiles on her on a dreaded Monday Blue day...

Oh yes, just found out another article I have written has been published in Parenthots today, do check it out and give your views...currently in writing and deep contemplation mode :D

Cheers to a fruitful week for us all!
